Scope
This policy covers the LearnPhpOnline.com learning website. Public lessons do not require registration. The current application has no account creation, payment collection, newsletter form or server-side progress synchronization.
Your code and learning progress
The exercise editor stores your code and completion status in this browser's local storage. We use those values to restore your work and show your completion status. The application does not automatically upload this saved code or progress to our servers.
Ordinary exercise execution and answer checks run in a PHP WebAssembly worker in your browser. They do not send your code to Anthropic or another AI provider for grading. AI tools may be used separately to prepare learning content; that offline workflow does not receive learners' saved work.
Avoid putting passwords, API keys or confidential personal information into practice exercises. Code you choose to run may have behavior beyond the supplied exercise, depending on the runtime's capabilities.
Website delivery and technical requests
Your browser must send technical requests to retrieve pages and application assets. The servers handling those requests receive connection information such as an IP address and requested resource.
This website is hosted by Vallic Cloud on servers in Germany. Pages and files reach you through Vallic Cloud's content delivery network, run by BunnyWay d.o.o. (bunny.net) in Slovenia, from edge locations in Europe, Asia and North and South America. The edge server that answers you, usually the one nearest to you and possibly outside the European Union, receives your IP address and request in order to deliver the page, and Bunny may keep short-term delivery logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure its network. The web server's own access log records only the requested path, the response status, how long the response took and when it was made, without your IP address, browser details or query parameters, and is deleted after seven days.
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics cookies, your browser loads Google Analytics 4 from Google. Google then receives information about your visit: the pages you view, the referring page, an approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device details, and interaction events configured in our Analytics property, which can include scrolling, outbound link clicks and terms entered in the site search. We use this to understand which pages help people learn. If you reject or ignore the banner, Analytics is not loaded.
We do not send your editor code, exercise inputs or saved progress to Google Analytics. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and advertising storage is denied.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.
Recipient: Google Ireland Limited, with processing by Google LLC. Google may process this data outside the European Union, including in the United States. See Google's privacy policy and how Google Analytics safeguards data.
Retention: 2 months. After that, Google deletes event data linked to cookies or other identifiers from our Analytics property; aggregated reports, which identify no one, are kept.
Third-party resources
The site currently loads DM Sans, Manrope and JetBrains Mono through Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google's font servers to request the stylesheet and font files. Those requests disclose technical connection information to Google, including your IP address and browser request information. See Google's privacy policy.
Links to documentation, frameworks, CMS platforms and our sponsors open external websites in a new tab when you choose to follow them. Their operators apply their own privacy policies. Sponsor links, in the footer and in the sponsored banners beside lessons and articles, include UTM campaign parameters that identify this site and where the link was placed; they do not include your exercise code or completion data. Banner images are served from this site, so a sponsor receives nothing about you unless you follow its link.
Purposes and legal basis
Local exercise storage is used to provide the save-and-resume functionality of the learning service. Delivering the website and protecting it against abuse rely on our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Google Analytics runs only on the basis of your consent.
Retention and deletion
The application sets no expiry for locally saved exercise records. You can remove them by clearing this website's data in your browser. Browsers may also clear storage themselves. Resetting one exercise restores its starter code and removes its completed status but does not delete all saved exercise records.
We cannot retrieve or delete browser-local records from another device on your behalf. If you email learnphponline@pm.me, we and the email provider receive the address, message and any attachments you send so that we can handle your enquiry. This includes problem reports started from a page’s “Report a problem or mistake” link, which fill in the page’s address, revision and PHP version; we use them to correct that page. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle that enquiry and any applicable legal obligations or related disputes.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights do not all apply in every situation.

We will update this notice if the site's processing changes, including if accounts, synchronization, analytics or additional third-party integrations are introduced. The date above identifies this version.
